I don’t know about you, of course, but personally I never leave a dinner table without stains on my clothes. So, I always have влажные салфетки под рукой [= at my fingertips].
The other day, I used a partiular pack of wet wipes and noticed a lovely verb we use in a good humour or talking to a child.
Here it is… извозюкаться.
Sometimes you can see “извазюкаться” just because we pronounce it in such a fashion. I mean, it’s not a bad mistake.
It’s a reflexive verb, hence you use -ся in the end and means the action is done towards the object. “Ты весь извозюкался!”
If you break into the linguistic parts из-воз-юк-ть-ся, you see that the prefix tells about the object is in and out… something. -ВОЗ- means a noun “wagon” from which a verb comes out —> возить (“to carry”, “to drive”). “Изводить someone” means to bring someone everywhere upto disgust (haha).
Here we have a pocket of wet wipes, so any thoughts what does the verb mean?
It means, when you get dirt, wipe your hands. Лапки here means “paws”. We use it with children out of cutiness. haha
