For me, June is about walks with wide open eyes (I mean, look around and attune in a beauty of blooming world). Eventhough you may navigate through the downs at work, it’s not an excuse to turn a blind eye to anything, you know.
I remember, when the last week at school was over we moved to my father parents’ house. Every morning мы просыпались, слыша a voice from the other world greeting you with some news from the art world. Every night we used to hear a quiet lullaby of someone’s шёпот and classical music. I knew, it was coming out of the house heart that’s why the voice could be heard from любого угла. The radio висело on the wall which was the core of the whole home.
Иногда можно было услышать радио-спектакли: бывало, что спектакль проводился одним человеком, а бывало, что в нём участвовало несколько человек.
If you love walking in the forest, you should know what song you hear. There were programmes devoted to nature: children learnt how to distinguish a bird by its song, how to treat them and when expect back (for example, nightingales live in the south lands when winter comes to Russia).
Каждая из птиц — маленький солист собственной оперы, а все вместе — неповторимый хор голосов, прославляющих лето.
Let’s chill listening to the music of the birds’ choir.
Perhaps, you may want to listen to a play instead, then… I’d like to offer you to listen one of Pavel Bazhov tales — we call it “сказы” (came from сказки (fairy tales)), it has its main title as “The Malachite Box”. Of course, you should follow the script if your level is under B1 in Russian or you can read in English before to know better.
One of Bazhov’s tale inspired Sergei Prokofiev to create ballet “The Tale of the Stone Flower”.
Bazhov’s tales have more prosaic sense. I mean, the Slavic tales teach us to show empathy for everyone (even for Baba Yaga), share with the last loaf of bread, and practice a sacrificial spirit despite anything. His tales are about real people (not knights or magical creatures), the endings are void of a kind miracle where everyone receives what they desired.
I hope you’ll enjoy reading.
Спасибо, что дочитал(а) до конца. :)
