What an apple collection!

You might have noticed, all the markets are full of apples

I do enjoy the apple smell. It has become a sweet reminder of neverending change. Nothing is constant, so there is not a chance for ennui. Согласны?

In this letter I’d like to share one recipe with you. Of course, remembering about the Russian grammar and stuff. :)

Apple tart with caramelized apples

Приготовление — 1 час

Для теста: 3 стакана *муки*, 1/2 стакана сахара, 200 г сливочного масла или *маргарина*, 3 желтка.

When we need to mention ingredients, usually we use the Genitive case.
— сливочное масло becomes сливочного масла

Для начинки: 4-5 средних яблок, 50 г сливочного масла, 100 г сахара.

Before you start reading, mind to see what grammatical number is used here.

1.  Butter or margerine *рубим в крошку* with flour. The yolks *взбиваем* with sugar. *Замешиваем* the dough (if it is *суховато*, you can add sour cream).

2. *Раскатываем* dough (1 cm thic) and place in a backing dish. Leave it for 30 min in the fridge.

3. Until the dough gets cool, let’s make a filling. *Режем дольками* the apples. *Растапливаем* butter and add sugar in a thick bottom frying pan. *Перемешиваем*, and put apples into caramel, then *бланшируем* 5-10 минут, перемешивая with a wooden spoon (or whatever you use).

4. Get the dough out from the fridge and put in *духовку* (180°C) на 20 минут. Once time’s over, add the apples over there and bake ещё 20-25 минут.

Ta-daa. It’s ready to be served with an ice-cream ball and a good cup of tea.
