Здравствуй.
Прежде чем ты начнёшь читать1, let’s immerse in playing off the melody made up by the composer о котором я собираюсь рассказать2. Here it is the 24 preludes op. 11.
Alexander Scriabin родился3 on Christmas (either in 1871 or 1872 year depend on what calendar type you live along :). He is the most real symbol of the XX century in music. He passed away prematurely, in 1915 (as a result of a septicemia caused by a carbuncle on his lip). He ‘burnt down’, people spoke.
However his new and fresh musical style, his freedom of a harmonious language, a melodic language, form-formation, I mean, the revolutionary spirit in Scriabin creative work left a great impact on the whole XX century.
Во время обучения в4 the Conservatory, Scriabin gave so many concerts that eventually led to inflammation of the ligaments. Due to his excessive strive for virtuosity he, then, had to leave a career as pianist. It turned out to be his first life drama. Undergoing psychological crisis, he came across the works of Schopenhauer. Naturally, the reading gave Scriabin a luminous experience.
The composer improved his ability to see colours in music that let him make his music… colourful. We call such an ability as “colour hearing.” Actually, not only Scriabin обладал таким талантом5 but Rimsky-Korsakov, for instance.
C major on the musical scale has a red colour, according to the composer. Listen to this colour here, that is a record of his son, Julian, play.
Scriabin made up the concept but technically barely could do a thing with lights. Nevertheless the first light symphony was presented in March 1911 without light accompaniment.
Today you can witness the advancement of colour music here. What was performed in March 1911 without lights, you watch the symphony in light in December 2016.
If you want to support my project, you can do it here financially.
It’s just one cup of good herbal tea.
