Как-то1 ютуб начал играть произведения Рахманинова, о которых лишь2 слышала, но не слушала. Давай теперь послушаем вместе. Нажимай сюда. Это всенощное бдение3 или Vespers.
Может, я сейчас пишу со спокойным сердцем, поэтому мне слушать это несложно. Однако, если совсем противно4, то выключи, конечно.
В тот же день5, когда слушала композитора, я читала завещание (см.ниже 9) одного из русских церковных философов. Тогда его слова очень ясно срезонировали6, а теперь мне хочется поделиться с тобой маленьким отрывком7.
Давно хочется мне записать: почаще8 смотрите на звёзды. Когда будет на душе9 плохо, смотрите на звёзды или лазурь10 днём. Когда грустно, когда вас обидят11, когда что не будет удаваться12, когда придёт на вас душевная буря13 — выйдите на воздух и останьтесь наедине с небом. Тогда душа успокоится.
Это одно из самых последних напутствий14 своим детям, которое писал Павел Флоренский15 в течение нескольких лет (то что-то убирая из16 текста, то что-то добавляя).

Having been recounting from here, I just tell you that…
Vespers is one of the main works created by Sergey Rachmaninoff (in just 2 weeks!) as a reaction to the First World War. It is the top of Russian church music which can stand next to Monteverdi, Pergolesi, and Bethoveen. Rachmaninoff’s favourite part is the 5th — Vespers, Op. 37: Now let Thy servant depart.
Vespers is an Orthodox Christian worship taking place on the eve of Sunday.

At the moment, I’m not well awared of Florensky’s idea but apart from being priest, he was a prominent mathemathician and invented a few things (for example, using benzyl chloride, Florensky invented a way to produce varnish and plastic).
